Woodworks

Simple shelves currently installed in our powder room. The artwork is by Karnam, the rest by Brian.
turning
Ebony and maple pen body. Seen here as the turning is complete and sanding/finish work is underway.
cigar_pen
The completed pen, and matching cigar tube holder.
pallet_table
A quick, simple project. The foundation for a wooden pallet table. A little pressure washing and some time with the circular saw to get them square(-ish) and of the same size. I can neither confirm nor deny that these pallets were sourced from the dumpster at the nearby construction site…
peppermill
A personal favorite – an antique style peppermill turned from antique red oak. The source wood was taken from an old South Carolina tobacco barn. Aged approximate 120 years before I started to work with it. Have never had to sharpen my chisels so much for one project.

Woodworking is where it all began for us. Tinkering in the workshop as a child became working as Master Carpenter at multiple theatre venues. After a major career change it’s back to making sawdust, but usually on a smaller scale.
